It was the 19th May 2018 , a very hot day and in Windsor there was a Royal Wedding about to start but we were not at that wedding, we had our very own amazing wedding going on at the beautiful South Farm www.south-farm.co.uk near Cambridge. Natalie & Ashley had put a lot of time and effort into organising their special day and it could not have been a better day weather wise for them to tie the knot in stunning surroundings such as South Farm. When they say Distinctly Different on their Website they mean it. It is family run so you feel the intimate friendliness of the place but also everything ( especially the food) is at such a very high quality you feel you are getting 5* hotel product while in the most idyllic relaxed setting ( there are even cute pigs and a stunning white peacock).
Natalie was not nervous while getting ready and surrounded by her sister, daughter, friends and mother there was a lot of humour and fun at this stage. Natalie had her hair done by Cristina – www.hairbycristina.co.uk , her make up – Natalie – www.bebeautifulbynatalie.co.uk and Flowers and decoration by – Sioned – rogerssioned@gmail.com this all created a very romantic relaxed style for Natalie which suited the place they choose to get married very well. The Bridesmaids were in Nude colours and the flower girl in ivory like her mom.
The groomsmen were in fine spirit ( they had not drunk too much though) , it is always nice to see the guys so happy for the groom in the getting ready part of the day. Ashley wore a slightly blue/grey fine check suit definitely the gent of South Farm. Also at South Farm was the wonderful Harpist www.hayleyharp.co.uk who played before the ceremony and in gardens afterwards.
The Venue has quite a few photographic spots which make wedding photography more fun and with more variety. There are the gardens , the house , the countryside and the amazing bright coloured caravans. They even set up the main group photograph and one from the house with confetti for you straight away after the ceremony which was great. The after a few minutes ( around 15) for them to enjoy the gardens, friends and a drink I took them off for some romantic photographs too. The Videographer – Anthony – anthony@spotlightweddings.co.uk was so easy to get on with and is very familiar to South Farm so it was nice getting some great shots together while also having a laugh with Natalie and Ashley. After the mean ( which was amazing by the way) they had a band play at their evening reception. I really enjoyed their wedding and the vibe of South Farm and hope to be there again soon to photograph more weddings. Congratulations to Natalie and Ashley for a fantastic wedding. Here are some of my favourites from the day:
